Our Team

The heart of UK Export Expo lies in our team – a group of seasoned live event professionals with extensive experience in international events, market analysis, and business development. Our team are  passionate advocates for UK business growth and global expansion. Each member brings a unique set of skills and insights, ensuring our trade missions are successful, innovative, and forward-thinking.

Hugh Frazer-Mann

With a background in electronics, Hugh started out in stage lighting theatre productions and world concert touring with bands such as Aswad, Thompson Twins, and Paul McCartney.

Hugh set up HFM Lighting & Sound in 1999 focussing on corporate events and fashion shows in the EU, North America, and the UAE. In addition, since 2018 Hugh has been involved with organising exhibitions.

As founder of the UK Export Expo Hugh’s mission is for UK’s small and medium-sized businesses to seize upon the great opportunities that are available outside the UK.

Simon Husband

Simon has worked in the live events industry for over 30 years delivering on live event project management for brands including Microsoft, Apple, Rolls Royce, and BMW. Simon continues acting as a consultant to large technical production houses with his emphasis on best practices at all times. Simon is keen to explore emerging markets and aid them in using UK companies to improve their working practices.

As the Operations Director for the UK Export Expo, Simon selects the best in their field to form a professional team that is focussed on exceeding clients expectations. 

Claire Newton

Claire has a 25-year background in senior account management and B2B relationship building, working on key accounts like Harrods, NHS Trusts, Marstons Breweries, Princess Cruises, and City & Guilds.

Claire is a qualified level 5 in the Quality Assurance of E.P. and an assessor for LEAN Six Sigma Manufacturing Techniques.
Since 2022 she has included 3D sales training to further her understanding of how to meet a customer’s needs and ensure the client continues to benefit from their interaction.

As Accounts Manager for UK Export Expo Claire is best placed to service our clients on their Trade Mission journeys.

Julius Osumah

Julius is a Mass Communication graduate with expertise in advertising, brand marketing, and business development. He holds international certifications in Brand Leadership and is an Associate member of APCON. Currently serving as Country Operations Head for ZEE TV and overseeing operations for various international TV channels.

Julius brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team, making him an invaluable asset in fostering connections and facilitating successful trade missions.

As the local partner for Nigeria, Africa, and the UAE, he will play a pivotal role in expanding our reach, building lasting relationships, and creating opportunities for UK businesses beyond their borders.
